EFFECTS OF OVEREXPOSURE-CONDITIONS TO AVOID

CORROSIVE:
HARMFUL TO EYES: Causes severe eye damage or irritation with symptoms of pain, redness, swelling of the conjunctiva and possible irreversible eye damage.
HARMFUL TO SKIN: Causes severe skin damage or irritation with symptoms of pain, redness and chemical burns.
HARMFUL IF SWALLOWED: Ingestion can produce immediate pain in the mouth, throat and abdomen; severe swelling of the larynx; skeletal muscle paralysis affecting the ability to breathe, circulatory shock and/or convulsions.
HARMFUL IF INHALED: Inhalation of product mist may cause respiratory irritation.
Do not get in eyes, on skin or clothing. Do not swallow. Avoid breathing product mist.  Wash thoroughly after handling.

SECTION V: EMERGENCY & FIRST AID PROCEDURES

EYES

Hold eye open and rinse slowly and gently with water for 15-20 minutes. Remove contact lenses after the first 5 minutes then continue rinsing eye. Get immediate medical attention.

SKIN

Take off contaminated clothing. Rinse skin immediately with plenty of water for 15-20 minutes. Get medical attention. Wash contaminated clothing before reuse

INGESTION

Call a poison control center or doctor immediately for treatment advice. Have person sip a glass of water if able to swallow. Do not induce vomiting unless told to do so by the poison control center or doctor. Do not give anything by mouth to an unconscious person. NOTE TO PHYSICIAN: Probable mucosal damage may contraindicate the use of gastric lavage. Measures against circulatory shock, respiratory depression and convulsion may be needed.

INHALATION

In case of respiratory irritation, move person to fresh air. Get medical attention if irritation persists

SECTION VII: SPILL OR LEAK PROCEDURES

Steps to be Taken in Case Material is Released or Spilled:

Dike and contain spill with inert material (sand, earth, etc.) and transfer the liquid and solid separately to containers for recovery and disposal. Keep spill out of sewers and open bodies of water.

Waste Disposal Method:

Dispose of in compliance with all Federal, state and local laws and regulations. Incineration is the preferred method.


SECTION VIII: SPECIAL PROTECTION INFORMATION

RESPIRATORY PROTECTION
If exposure limits (see Section II) are exceeded or if respiratory irritation occurs, a NIOSH approved respirator suitable for the use conditions and chemicals listed in Section II should be worn.
VENTILATION
GOOD GENERAL VENTILATION SHOULD BE SUFFICIENT FOR MOST CONDITIONS. LOCAL EXHAUST VENTILATION MAY BE NECESSARY FOR SOME OPERATIONS.
PROTECTIVE GLOVES
RUBBER OR NEOPRENE GLOVES ARE RECOMMENDED TO MINIMIZE SKIN CONTACT.
EYE PROTECTION

SPLASH GOGGLES AND/OR FACE SHIELD WHILE HANDLING CONCENTRATE.

PRECAUTIONS, HANDLING & STORING

KEEP FROM FREEZING. STORE AT TEMPERATURES BELOW 140 F. KEEP CONTAIN CLOSED UNTIL USED. DO NOT CONTAMINATE DRINKING WATER, FOOD OR FEED BY STORAGE OR DISPOSAL. KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN.
